It was our third day on Bora-Bora, the island no one seems capable of writing about without saying that James A. Michener called it the most beautiful island in the world. My wife and I were trying to decide what to order for lunch in the restaurant at the Sofitel Marara, the hotel that film producer Dino De Laurentiis built to house his crew during the making of Hurricane, a film apparently famous only as a flop; I've never come across anyone who has actually seen it.
